EastEnders actor Sid Owen has come up with a quirky way to try and protect himself from coronavirus when he goes out in public.
The soap star, 48, used an old pair of underpants as a face mask to keep covered up during a train journey. Sid, who played Ricky Butcher in the BBC soap from 1988 until 2012, took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a picture of his quirky mask.
In the snap the pants had completely covered his nose and mouth and he donned a pair of sunglasses and flat cap, meaning barely any of his face and head was uncovered.
He didn't say where he was heading to but he made sure he was protected along the way. "Pants mask," he captioned the post. Sid's photo left his 8,700 Instagram followers in stitches.
