EastEnders actress Shona McGarty amazed fans as she revealed her second career outside of the popular BBC soap. Shona, who earlier dazzled fans with a fresh, cropped haircut, has played Whitney Dean, the adoptive daughter of Patsy Palmer’s Bianca Jackson, since 2008.
Whitney has been involved in countless central storylines since her first appearance, and most recently, she discovered her baby has Edwards’ Syndrome.
Shona, 31, took to social media on Monday, where she treated her Instagram followers to a behind-the-scenes look at her life, revealing that she is also part of a gospel choir called UpMass.
Alongside a snap of her fellow singers, the soap star revealed there were “exciting times ahead” for the choir group. On her Instagram grid, Shona showed her 179k followers a video of herself and rest of the choir belting a Christian tune. "Throwback to when we brought @upmass07 to @bbceastenders,” she recalled.The TV star could be seen in a figure-hugging black dress that featured lace detailing on the sleeves as she paced in front of the stage.
