Jake Wood, who plays Max Branning, revealed the horrendously awkward moment happened shortly after Scott, 49, joined the show and began playing Jack Branning.
Scott mistakenly called Pam "Pat", as her character since 1986 was Pat Butcher. But Pam, 78, did not take kindly to the mishap, and reportedly went on such a nasty rant her co stars were shocked.
Jake discussed the tense encounter on his podcast, Pound for Pound, saying: She really took offence and gave him a hard time for it.
