EastEnders’ Mitch Baker is set for a shock after his brother Avery shows up on Albert Square. The estranged brothers will soon come face to face on the BBC One soap, and Avery’s arrival is set to leave Mitch in “shock” and questioning his brother’s intentions.
Opening up about Avery turning up in Walford, Mitch actor Roger Griffiths said: “He’s very shocked! "I mean he doesn’t hate his brother. They have this love hate relationship but he is the last person he expected to see.” And admitting Mitch doesn’t trust his sibling, he continued: “He’s always been the guy that Mitch has trusted but then Avery has broken that trust.
He has helped Avery before, and Avery has let him down. “Mitch doesn’t know why he is opening the door, but if he does this for his brother he is going to get some form of love from Avery. They are brothers who know each other well.” Roger, 61, also reveals that even though the pair are blood, they are very different people. “He just lives a different lifestyle to Mitch.
He’s very lavish and Mitch is very basic,” he said. “I think the reason Mitch is the way he is, is because of his brother. It’s not even that Mitch isn’t so well off because he is rich in so many other things. “Mitch has made himself that way you know, he is made by family, surrounded by love.
