EastEnders aired powerful scenes on Tuesday night, as Mick Carter realised his abuser had to pay for her sickening crimes. Mick, played by actor Danny Dyer, was sexually abused by his care worker Katy Lewis when he was just 12 years old.

Katy fell pregnant and fled - only for Mick to uncover the truth years later, when daughter Frankie showed up in Walford. Mick realised once Frankie revealed Katy was her mother, that she was telling the truth - and old memories of his past sent him on a downward spiral.

He is now coming to terms with the abuse he suffered and what Katy did to him, after attempts to silence him - while she is continuing to manipulate Frankie.
