EASTENDERS actor James Alexandrou today shocked fans by claiming Noel Clarke "had too many of us scared for too long". The 36-year-old - who played Martin Fowler on the BBC soap from 1996 to 2007 - says he’s "ashamed" he didn’t speak up.
His emotional message to fans came after Bulletproof actor was stripped of his Bafta last night after it was alleged he sexually harassed, groped and bullied women.
James wrote on Twitter: "Noel Clarke had too many of us scared for too long. "I genuinely feel ashamed I didn’t do more to stand up for friends of mine he hurt. "Innocent until proven guilty, but this was long overdue." The Guardian reports the allegations from 20 women against the married actor relate to a period between 2004 and 2019.
