Jake Wood first joined BBC's EastEnders as the Jack the Lad character Max Branning in 2006. Now, the day has come for the 48-year-old soap star to say goodbye as he prepared to play his character for the final time after 15 years on Albert Square.

Jake confessed it was a "sad day" as he reflected on all the memories with the BBC One show in an emotional video on Instagram.
