EastEnders viewers believe they have sussed out the identity of Gina Knight's mystery ex-boyfriend who broke her heart as he continues to be mentioned.

Fans of the soap believe it could be a character from the past who has been killed off.At first, BBC viewers contemplated if Gina's former partner was Dean Wicks as it was suggested he could be the mystery man who is killed off this Christmas.It comes as Gina was heard talking about the ex in question in episodes that aired earlier this week as she confided in mum Cindy Beale following a visit to Spain as she spoke of her heartbreak, reports The Mirror.Gina told her mum that she had been dating someone in Marbella before announcing they had both moved on which left her devastated believing he would wait for her, but found out days after she left the country for Walford that they had started seeing someone new.Cindy told Gina as they bonded in the close conversation that she wanted to hunt down the person who broke her daughter's heart and get revenge - and viewers started to ponder if it could be someone who already stepped foot in Albert Square.Some people thought it could be linked to the shocking comeback earlier this month in a flashback episode.

Fatboy, who was killed off in 2015, surprised viewers by returning to the soap for the past scenes.
