EastEnders fans spot ‘the real villain’ behind Nish’s revenge plot - and it’s not who you think

EastEnders began 2025 with a dramatic episode on New Year’s Day that ended with the fate of three characters up in the air following the actions of sinister Nish.

However, fans have decided that he’s not the true villain of the show at the moment, and that honour should go to his grandson, Nugget.

Nugget, as played by Juhaim Rasul Choudhury, has been helping to hide his grandfather in a derelict flat since Nish (Navin Chowdhry) escaped from prison.

While he couldn’t have known that Nish’s plan was to poison his ex-wife Suki’s fiancee Eve (Heather Peace) on their wedding day, Nugget must have suspected his grandfather was up to something and was likely to pull some sort of stunt on the big day, yet he didn’t attempt to stop him.
