EastEnders aired powerful and emotional scenes on New Year’s Eve, as Mick Carter contemplated suicide as he finally realised the trauma from his past.
In difficult scenes, Mick, played by Danny Dyer, made contact with the helpline Samaritans – who provide support for those who are struggling to cope - as he continued to battle his demons.
He began to open up about his mental health and how he’d really been feeling, after spiralling for months - with it recently confirmed the character had been sexually abused by his care worker as a child.
