It isn’t every day that a rival soap star bags a role in one of the UK’s biggest soaps, but that is exactly what happened this week when EastEnders fans were treated to a surprise appearance by former Coronation Street star Krissi Bohn.
The former ITV star swapped the Manchester cobbles for a stint in Albert Square on Thursday (August 10) when she appeared in the soap as Ben Mitchell’s therapist Saira, as he finally began to seek professional help to combat the trauma of his sexual assault.
As many soap fans will know, Krissi previously played the role of Jenna Kamara, the daughter of Lloyd Mullaney (Craig Charles) and Mandy Kamara (Pamela Nomvete).
in Corrie for two years between 2012 and 2014, so to see her in the rival soap case as quite the surprise for several fans. "It’s Jenna from Corrie!! #Eastenders," as a second added: "I knew I recognised her." During her two years on Coronation Street, Krissi’s character Jenna worked as a physiotherapist and was involved in a steamy romance with Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) which unfortunately soon fizzled out.
