25 years after last appearing on our screens as EastEnders icon Cindy Beale, actress Michelle Collins recently delighted fans with the news of her return to the long running BBC soap.

Although the full details of the storyline that will see her return to Walford are due to play out on screen in the coming days, Cindy’s return will no doubt shock many residents after the character was previously believed to have died in prison while giving birth!

Throughout her time in soap, Cindy became one of Albert Square’s most infamous villains and was famously known for being the unfaithful wife of Ian Beale - however away from our screens Michelle couldn’t be further from the scheming wife she played on screen.

Well known for her kind heart and friendly demeanour, Michelle is a far cry from Cindy’s cold and ruthless attitude - which makes her skill at bringing the Walford baddie to life all the more impressive.
