Ian was arrested on the BBC soap, and was handcuffed by a police officer who was able to get physically close to him. This had some viewers wondering how this was the case, as actors must currently remain two metres apart, with clever camera trickery making it look as though they are touching.
But it was clear on Friday that the officer and Ian really touched and were standing right next to each other. And the reason the two actors were allowed to touch is because in real life, they are in the same social bubble because they are father and son.
