Eamonn Holmes slams 'difficult people working in TV' after This Morning axe

Eamonn Holmes has laid into people who work in TV, branding them "difficult", fresh from his This Morning axe. Eamonn and wife Ruth Langsford were axed from the show last year and replaced by Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Learly.

The presenting duo, who had starred on the show for 14 years, will now only be used for holiday cover instead of their usual Friday slot.

The pair were said to be "blindsided" by their replacement, and Eamonn has now hit out at people who work in television and do not understand it like he does.

He told the Talking Success podcast: "Television is the easiest thing you’ll ever do in your life, made difficult by people who don’t understand it or who want to seem important because if they suddenly say, ‘No, no, no’
