The This Morning host explained why he was sporting a new look when he appeared on Wednesday's show alongside co-host wife Ruth Langsford.

Eamonn, 60, was rocking a pear of thick black-rimmed glasses and he explained why.He said he had woken up in a lot of pain as he showed off his swollen left eye and added that he was unable to see out of it."The glasses are going to stay on all day folks or I'd frighten the wits out of you," before turning to Ruth and asking: "What did I look like this morning?!"Ruth responded: "Literally frightened the wits out of me.
