An advert that year in the Southall Gazette reads: "See and hear the sound of the 80s at West London's Ealing music house. We will be pleased to demonstrate the Kawai synthesiser which can be added to most makes of home organs. " Apparently it sold instruments on the ground level of the shop and records in the basement.
It's also quite well known that Dusty Springfield worked there in the basement before she became famous. The Who bassist Pete Townshend also lived locally and used to buy records there in the late 1950s.
