Dwyane Wade opened up about his health. The 43-year-old retired NBA star revealed that he had around 40% of his kidney removed in December 2023 after doctors found a tumor on it.

In it, Dwyane explained that he went to the doctor to have some symptoms checked out after putting off appointments for years.

Doctors ordered a scan of the athlete’s body and found a “cyst/tumor” on his kidney. “And the doctor was like, ‘You need to have kidney surgery,’” Dwyane said, adding that multiple other doctors agreed with the decision.
