Dancing with the Stars judge Len Goodman has tragically passed away at the age of 78. His manager, Jackie Gill, confirmed that he passed on Saturday (April 22) at a hospice in Kent, England, surrounded by his loved ones. Keep reading to find out more… He had been battling bone cancer. Jackie said in a statement (via the BBC), “It is with great sadness to announce that Len Goodman has passed away peacefully, aged 78.
A much loved husband, father and grandfather who will be sorely missed by family, friends and all who knew him.” Len was well known as a judge on Dancing With the Stars from 2005 until 2022.
He also appeared as a judge on the UK version of the show, Strictly Come Dancing, from 2004 until 2016. Len had announced earlier this year that he planned to exit DWTS and would not return for the upcoming 2023 season.
