Julian Benson will sadly have to skip being a judge on the nation’s biggest dancing show for a third week in a row. His slot is currently being filled by the show’s Creative Director Darren Bennett in Julian’s absence, where he has fallen ill due to Cystic Fibrosis (CF).
RTÉ revealed the news in a statement: ‘RTE can confirm that show judge Julian Benson is currently unwell and will miss Sunday night’s Dancing With The Stars on RTE One.’ The station added: ‘We wish him a speedy recovery.’ Julian was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at just two years old.
At the time, the doctors who treated him originally only expected him to live until he was 13-years-old, but fortunately, this was not the case.
