Over one million pensioners are set to receive up to £300 this winter. Cash will be provided as part of the Winter Fuel payment which aims to provide extra support throughout the winter period.
While recent cuts to the payment were announced by Chancellor Rachel Reeves earlier this year, many will still be eligible for the extra money.
Generally, eligible people will receive a letter in October or November informing them of how much they will receive. Payment rates also vary depending on when you were born.
According to the government website, you can receive the Winter Fuel Payment this winter if you were born before September 23, 1958.
