A double amputee has revealed that the DWP believes he is not yet unfit for work despite being impaled upside down on a metal fence for days.
Dale Whitehurst is still on the road to recovery nearly one year after losing his leg due to a horrific accident a Wolstanton Retail Park.
The 44-year-old stated that he is in agony '24/7' and suffers from phantom pains where his limbs originally were. Now, his "never-ending bad dream" has been made worse by growing financial problems.
While Dale believes he qualifies for Limited Capability for Work and Work-related activity (LCWRA), he states that the DWP is dragging its heels over declaring him unfit for work and is blaming the wait on a Covid backlog.
