The DVLA has announced which number plates will be banned when it releases its new set of registrations later this year.Every year, there are two groups of licence plates that are created by the DVLA, one that comes out in March and the other in September.The '23' set was released earlier in the year, with the '73' group set to come into force in the autumn.
And with millions of plates coming out each time, there are some unfortunate letter and number combinations that the DVLA has banned people from getting on their cars.
Before each release, the DVLA bans a group of number plates that they have identified as being too offensive for the road.Jon Kirkbright, sales director at Platehunter, is an expert in buying and selling private number plates.
Ahead of the upcoming ‘73’ release, the car expert submitted a Freedom Of Information request to the DVLA to find out which plates will be banned.
