Motorists lost out on pocketing a stunning £2.3 million by not renewing their photocard driving licenses online, according to new figures released by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA).Drivers could have saved themselves some cash and the trouble just by using DVLA's online service.

Renewing photocard licenses on the UK Government website costs £14 and the turnaround time is five days.
