‘Dune: Part Two’ Release Moved Up By Two Weeks – Update

UPDATED, 11:07 AM: Dune: Part Two is just a little bit closer now. Warner Bros said today that Denis Villeneuve’s sequel starring Timothée Chalamet will open March 1, two weeks earlier that planned.

In its new slot, the pic that also stars Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson and Florence Pugh now will go up against Universal’s action comedy The Fall Guy, which is the only other wide release set for the March 1-3 weekend.

Dune: Part Two now will give the summer box office season an even earlier start as tentpoles continue to plot new courses after the Hollywood strikes.
