It was always director Denis Villeneuve‘s plan to split the Frank Herbert novel into two parts and the second film will cover the remaining story from the book.
Dune: Part Two is currently scheduled to be released in theaters on November 3, 2023 after several date changes. The movie wrapped production at the end of 2022.
We know that some of the original Dune stars are confirmed to return and some of them likely aren’t coming back for the sequel.
