Dune 3 is continuing to fill out its cast, and one of the stars just confirmed that they’re returning to the franchise.

The third movie in the series is speculated to be released on December 18, 2026. The third movie will complete the trilogy, adapting Frank Herbert’s sequel novel, Dune Messiah.

In the novel, Paul “Muad’Dib” Atreides has ruled as Emperor for 12 years. By accepting the role of messiah to the Fremen, he has unleashed a jihad which has conquered most of the known universe, but is powerless to stop the lethal excesses of the religious juggernaut he has created.
