Stafford McDowall could finally make his senior Scotland debut in the next couple of weeks.The Dundrennan centre has been named in the Scotland squad for the Autumn Internationals.It could be some start with the All Blacks, Pumas, Wallabies and Fiji running out at Murrayfield.The former Stewartry Shark had been in line to make his first appearance for the senior squad in the summer of 2021 – only for coronavirus to cause the postponement of the matches.However, McDowall, a strong running centre who plays his club rugby for Glasgow Warriors, has been included in head coach Gregor Townsend’s squad that does not, controversially, include fly half Finn Russell.McDowall is the only uncapped player in the backs and won't be involved in Scotland’s first game against Australia on Saturday.
