Firefighters have worked overnight to contain riots in Dundee after youths launched fireworks into flames.Emergency services raced to the city's Balgowan Avenue after the alarm was raised at around 5.30pm last night.
On arrival, crews were met with havoc as roads had been set alight in four separate fires.Shocking pictures from the incident display terrifying scenes as flames torched the roads.
The entire street is pictured ablaze with cars parked nearby while horrified passers-by watched on.It's understood fireworks were being thrown from across the road and into the fire before erupting in the blaze.
Two fire engines and a police helicopter were drafted to the scene in response to the incident. Officers were also present in the area, with images and footage on social media showing them descending onto the incident in riot gear.
