A police officer has been left injured after feral youths launched firebomb attacks in Dundee last night. Riots saw teenagers in balaclavas wreak havoc across the city on Halloween - targeting emergency service workers, a local school, vehicles and roads.
Terrifying scenes included youths launching fireworks in the direction of police officers. Roads were also set alight in four separate blazes as pyrotechnics were chucked into the flames.
Shocking video footage shows yobs jumping on top of cars and pelting fireworks from opposite sides of the street as riot cops descend onto the scene.
Fire crews worked overnight to contain the chaos after being called to Balgowan Avenue at 5.30pm yesterday. Several emergency service materials were drafted into the incidents, including two fire engines and a police helicopter.During the operation, police confirmed that one officer was left injured as a result of the chaos.
