A spurned teenager flew into a fit of rage and smashed up a car after his ex-girlfriend squirted tomato ketchup in his face.
Ellis Daley's former partner grabbed the plastic squeezy bottle from her shopping and doused him in sauce after he confronted her in the street about their split.
After wiping it away from his cheeks and forehead, Daley, 19, who had been dumped two weeks earlier, kicked off the wing mirror of the friend's car she was in and smashed it over the windscreen.
He had previously twice damaged his partner's car during temper tantrums, a court was told, during incidents October last year and January. "In the first criminal damage matter, the complainant had been parked up outside her home address along with a friend," Gayle McCoubrey, prosecuting, told Warrington Magistrates' Court.
