A Dumfries town centre social club is facing the threat of permanent closure.Members of the The Railway Club, which has been shut since the start of the Covid crisis, will be asked to vote on its future at a meeting on November 5.The move follows the annual general meeting on Friday night when around 50 members attended.Many are unhappy at the prospect of losing the facility and have vowed to fight for it to be retained.One, Craig Gracie, criticised the management committee’s decision not to inform members of the AGM in writing.Mr Gracie said: “It’s appalling.
