Dumfries Comic Con returned to the David Keswick Centre on Saturday with a blockbuster show of heroes and villains. The third BGCP Comic Con in the town has been hailed a runaway success with hundreds of fans of all ages enjoying photo opportunities with a variety of characters and browsing more than 50 stall holders with comic books, artwork and toys on offer.
Visitors got to try arcade and console gaming, marvel at authentic movie and television props and take part in arts and crafts workshops.
There was the chance to meet Jimmy Vee, who is best known for his role as R2-D2 in the recent Star Wars movies as well as roles in The Witcher: Blood Origin, Rocketman, Harry Potter, Pan, Doctor Who and The Sarah Jane Adventures.
Jimmy signed autographs and was up for having pictures taken by his fans. Also greeting fans were Etienne Kubwabo (KE Comics), famed for his bestselling comic Beats of War, and Jim Alexander, who has written for Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Darkhorse, 2000 AD and for Cartoon Network.
