A university student who was a little worse for wear racked up a massive £1,300 Uber bill for making the ultimate error. The first year Chemical Engineering student, who has chosen not to be named, woke up 250 miles away from home after dosing off in the car as he put the wrong postcode into the app.
He had been on a night out in Newcastle but instead of putting NE1 into the Uber app, he put in NR3 and ended up in Norwich.
After waking up from his journey-long nap, his bill had come to £1,307.64. And his run of bad luck didn't end there. He ending up being fined after he was caught without a train ticket as he travelled back up north and missed his morning classes.
