Perth city centre supermarket without paying for a quantity of alcohol. And in a separate incident, 31-year-old Gary Cummings stole three bottles of champagne from another local store.
The accused was also caught with a £10 bag of heroin in a Perth street. Cummings, of St Catherine’s Square and formerly Newhouse Road in Perth, was jailed for a total of seven months after he appeared via video link at the sheriff court.
He admitted stealing alcohol from the South Street branch of Tesco on September 11, 2019 - and then making violent threats to an employee by claiming he was in possession of a weapon.He helped himself to the bottles of bubbly in an early morning visit to Morrison’s in Caledonian Road on May 10, 2020.
