A driver who was pulled over by police was so drunk that he fell over when trying to flee from officers. The driver “tried to give it legs” when he was stopped by a patrol in Manchester city centre, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) say.
But his attempts to make off were thwarted when he took a tumble. It’s understood that the driver of a black Audi was arrested at the scene after failing to provide valid insurance.
He also provided a specimen of breath that showed he was well over the legal limit to drive, GMP reports. Details of the incident were shared by traffic officers on one of the force’s Twitter accounts.
