Driver 'taking friends home' fails breath test after near miss on A666

The driver was stopped in his Vauxhall Viva by Raikes Lane, Bolton and blew 121 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath - more than three times the legal drink drive limit - and was duly arrested.

In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, the alcohol limit for drivers is 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood, 35 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath, or 107 milligrams per 100 millilitres of urine.
