Driver overtook police car then sped away at 100mph on M62

A driver overtook a police car then travelled at speeds of up to 100mph on the M62.Police joked that it was clear the motorist doesn't 'check his mirrors very often' after he sped off in front of the marked traffic car.In a post put up at 9.48am on Thursday morning, North West Motorway Police said: "Driver seen westbound on the M62 joining motorway and straight into lane 3 just ahead of me."It was clear he doesn't check his mirrors very often as he didn't notice the marked traffic car he'd just slotted in front of before being paced at a speed range initially at 92mph, ....and 100mph."The driver was also not wearing his seat belt.
