A dangerous driver drove the wrong way down a motorway despite all four of his tyres being shredded by a police stinger. He eventually bailed out of the Volkswagen Golf he was in which had false number plates on the M62 trying to escape across a field.

Harry Hosker's failed bid to shake off chasing cops was caught on film and he is now behind bars. The incident began after police spotted the black Golf at about 7.50pm on July 20th in Holcroft Lane, Culcheth.

Officers followed the car as it travelled onto Warrington Road before a stinger was used to deflate the vehicle’s tyres as it entered the Birchwood area.

Despite having four flat tyres, Hosker refused to stop for officers, so a pursuit was authorised. Officers followed the car as it drove the wrong way down the M62 between junctions 11 and 10.
