Driver caused high-speed chase on Motherwell road where schoolgirl was killed
dailyrecord.co.ukiOS - Android Duris, 27, of Hamilton, appeared from custody and admitted driving dangerously in April last year while on bail for another matter.The court heard that officers in an unmarked police car signalled for his Audi to stop shortly before midnight.Duris put on his hazard lights and pulled into the side of the road.Police officers produced warrant cards as they approached to speak to him, but he accelerated away and his car went into a wheel spin before he turned into Logans Road.The officers followed and noted that Duris drove at excessive speed and in an “aggressive” manner through streets in the area.Eventually, he returned to The Loaning before turning on to Hamilton Road.The police lost sight of him, but traced him later.Defence.
