Driver arrested after car engine thrown from motor in horror Scots crash

A driver has been arrested following a horror crash on a Scots road that saw the engine of a car thrown onto the road.Emergency services raced to a one-vehicle collision on Queensferry Terrace in Dunfermline around 5am on Sunday morning.The driver, a 26-year-old man, was arrested, with no confirmed injuries.

The passenger a 23-year-old man, was taken to Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.Cops shut down the road for just over five hours as an investigation was launched.

The road reopened around 10.15am.Pictures of the wreckage show the aftermath of the smash. A black car been seen completely wrecked on a grassy verge.
