RuPaul's Drag Race winners Lawrence Chaney and The Vivienne claim dress designers have begun over-charging drag queens for their creations.
The Vivienne, who was the winner on Drag Race UK series one, took to Twitter this week to say that she was fed up being overcharged by around ten times the normal price of a costume by opportunistic designers.
And Glasgow-born Lawrence, who was crowned champion last year, showed support for the statement and slammed the practice.The Vivienne wrote: "When you get quoted nearly 4K by a designer, then you ask non drag race queens what the same designer usually charges for a very similar design….. £400."Common misconception about drag race queens.
