David, 46, who has been known to shed a tear or two in public in the past, gave a speech at son Brooklyn's star studded wedding and recalled the day Brooklyn was born andhow much he had wanted to protect him.
An insider revealed that David "was sleeping on the hospital floor, holding the door shut because he didn't want to let anyone in".
