Donny van de Beek is on the brink of ending his Manchester United nightmare with a move to Girona imminent. The 27-year-old Dutch midfielder struggled to make an impact at Old Trafford, featuring in a mere 35 Premier League matches since his £35million arrival in 2020.
At that time, he was riding high off the back of a stellar Champions League semi-final campaign with Ajax and was considered one of Europe's most exciting midfield talents.

Despite this, Van de Beek expressed nothing but gratitude towards the club in a heartfelt farewell post on social media.
