Donald Trump and his political team are set to be sued for copyright infringement over the use of the song YMCA in election campaign videos.Mr Trump regularly used the 70s discos hit to close out his rallies during the 2020 election trail.On the eve of Americans heading to the polls on Tuesday, he posted a last-minute video featuring clips of him dancing to the Village People tune, despite the band asking him not to.Now the beneficiaries of the writers of the song, Messrs Jacques Morali and Henri Belolo, will launch official complaints in the US and the their native France.They are taking action along with record company Scorpio Music, which owns the rights of the piece, and co-writer and Village People frontman Victor Willis.A statement.
