The BBC and Jimmy Savile: A British Horror Story producer 72 Films are teaming on a feature-length documentary about the state of Georgia‘s fight to put Donald Trump behind bars.
Unveiled at Sheffield DocFest, The State of Georgia v. Donald J. Trump has gained access to inner workings around the criminal trial and will explore key evidence.
Using a small observational team, the film will follow members of the prosecution and defence as they build their case and witness first-hand how day-to-day trial preparation is now a world of body doubles and safe houses.
Georgia is a hugely important swing state in the upcoming presidential run-off and the battleground was the venue for Trump’s alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 election.
