Dom Manfredi has decided to retire immediately due to his ongoing knee issues. The Wigan Warriors winger had already announced that he planned to retire at the end of the season, but after suffering another injury to his left knee he has now been medically advised to call time on his career.
It is a cruel end to, in many ways, a cruel career. Injuries have restricted him to just 82 appearances since his debut in 2013, which resulted in 57 tries for the club.
He never failed to impress and ends his career with a Grand Final winners ring, but has sadly been forced to call it a day at the age of just 27.
