Parton and the “Rocky” star appeared in the 1984 film “Rhinestone,” while she starred with Reynolds in 1982’s “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.”Meanwhile, Parton also spoke about her and her husband’s decision to not have children — one that she does not regret. “I haven’t missed [having kids] like I thought I might,” she added.The “Jolene” singer went on: “When you’re a young couple, you think you’re going to have kids, but it just wasn’t one of those burning things for me.”“I had my career and my music and I was traveling,” she said. “If I’d had kids, I’d have stayed home with them, I’m sure, and worried myself to death about them.”The Grammy winner then confessed: “With everything that’s going on, I’d hate to be bringing a child into this world right now.”Parton has been in the music biz since the 1960s, having started out songwriting for other artists before embarking on her own album.The Tennessee native has no plans to retire anytime soon.
