A mother and daughter that lost their dog six years ago are overjoyed after he turned up over a thousand miles away in Florida.King, a chihuahua mix, was believed to have been stolen from the Vasquez family’s back garden in San Antonio, Texas, in 2014.Despite a desperate search, the Vasquezes were unable to find their missing pup and thought he was lost forever: “We legit thought he was gone,” daughter Danae Vasquez told local radio station WPLG.It’s a mystery how King – aged 15 – ended up in Florida.
A woman there had reportedly taken the little dog in after a neighbour had told her he could no longer care for it.She took King to the Humane Society in Broward County, Florida and they checked him for a microchip.
