Dog lovers outraged as pet makeover show sends ‘worrying message’

evoke.ieThe BBC’s latest pet-themed show has fallen foul of some dog lovers before the first episode has even aired. Pooch Perfect is a doggy makeover show whereby the UK’s top dog groomers go head to head to transform family pets into the perfect pooch but some feel that the show is sending the wrong message.
The show kicks off tonight with Sheridan Smith at the helm and will see 16 dog groomers battle it out to be crowned the winner.
The dogs will also have to undergo various tasks including the Dog Walk Challenge. It’s the makeover portion of Pooch Perfect however that has caused outrage.
