The BBC confirmed she will be moving on from the famous police box and is to be followed out of the door by the writer who cast her - Chris Chibnall.The Doctor Who actress will star in a new series of the programme later this year before exiting the show in a trio of specials next year.The first special will air on New Year’s Day 2022, the second will be next spring and the third will show the Doctor regenerating and will be shown in autumn 2022 as part of the BBC’s centenary celebrations.Jodie Whittaker said: "In 2017 I opened my glorious gift box of size 13 shoes.
